The Bucks County Chapter of Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Board of Associates will celebrate the romance and excitement of a Hawaiian luau with “May in Maui.” All money raised at the event will benefit cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
The festive Hawaiian-themed event will feature live music, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a sit down dinner. Guests will be greeted with a traditional Aloha Lei Greeting. During the cocktail hour guests will experience the colorful sights, beautiful sounds and savory tastes of the island paradise. Sway to the mesmerizing steel drum and keyboard performance by the Raymond Charles Duo and authentic island dances performed by Polynesian Dreams.
Event tickets are $150 per person. Hawaiian shirts are optional attire. Raffle tickets are $50 each with a First Prize of 50% of raffle proceeds. The Second Prize is Dinner, an overnight stay and breakfast for two at the elegant Black Bass Hotel on the Delaware River, which was generously donated by the Thompson Organization of Doylestown, PA. The event’s special pledge is focused on lung cancer which is essentially untreatable. As the most common cancer, it is responsible for one of every five cancer deaths. However, researchers at Fox Chase have made important discoveries that could be a game-changer. It is their efforts that will benefit from this year’s special pledge.
