Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve presents its 15th annual Land Ethics Symposium: “Creative Approaches
for Ecological Landscaping” on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at Delaware Valley
College Life Sciences Building, Doylestown, PA.
This informative conference will focus on ways to create low-maintenance, economical, and ecologically
balanced landscapes using native plants and restoration techniques. Professionals and property owners
with an interest in sustainable design and land management are encouraged to attend this day-long event.
The Preserve will also present the fifth annual Land Ethics Award at the Symposium. The award honors the
creative use of native plants in the landscape, sustainable and regenerative design, and ethical land
management and construction practices.
Continuing education credits are available for symposium attendees.
The featured speakers are: Michael Catania, Duke Farms; Michael Fleischacker, Delaware Valley College;
Kelly Gill, Xerces Society; Michael Van Clef, Ecological Solutions; Claudia West, North Creek Nurseries
Registration is $179 (submitted between February 13 and March 4); and $99 for full-time students. The
registration fee includes continental breakfast, snack break, and lunch. Registration with payment is
