Knowing Native Plants: Magic of Meadows

Come discover the Preserve’s five-acre meadow with Naturalist Mary Anne Borge. See native meadow

plant species, including wildflowers and grasses, learn about meadow successional stages, and some of

the animals that depend on this habitat. Find out why it is important to plant native species and avoid

some popular non-native ornamentals that have escaped from cultivation. Presentation/discussion

followed by an outdoor tour. Professional CEUs are available for this class.

This program will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Bowman’s Hill

Wildflower Preserve. The fee for Preserve Members is $20. The fee for non-members is $25. Call to

register, (215) 862-2924.

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is located at 1635 River Rd. (Rt. 32), just two and half miles south of

downtown New Hope, PA. For more information about programs at the Preserve visit www.bhwp.org.
