with Special Guest
Tony Tripoli

In this new show, “The Bitch is Back,” Tony Tripoli sets the stage for Joe Posa by sharing some hilarious moments as Joan Rivers’ opening act, cast member and head writer for Fashion Police, and then passes off the show to Ms. Rivers’ friend, Joe Posa, who, to quote Lisa Bacon Executive Producer of E Network’s Fashion Police, “recreates all of Joan’s movements, mannerisms and especially her humor… in this wildly entertaining” comedic stage performance.

JOE POSA, actor, dancer comedian and female impersonator, began as a dancer at the age of six, went on to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, then, as a long standing member of Actor’s Equity and SAG, performed in numerous stage productions (both in the US and abroad), feature films, commercials and TV shows. Then in 1995, launched his career as one of the top female character impersonators in the US.

Joe performed with the late “Comic Legend, Joan Rivers” on several occasions; and most recently met with Ms. Rivers on July 5, 2015 in Provincetown, MA. That evening, Joe said to Ms. Rivers “I am doing you in my show just down the street, but of course I always do you respectfully”. To which Joan said “Joe, you can do me disrespectfully.” Both laughed, Joan kissed Joe on the cheek and left. Little did he know it would be their last visit!

Over the last few years Joe has had the honor of working with Scott Townsend, arguably the top Cher Impersonator in the world. Together Joe and Scott created the show “An Evening at The Bird Cage” with sold out performance in Provincetown, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, and Puerto Vallarta, MX.

In addition Joe has had the honor of working with comic writer Tony Tripoli; head writer for Fashion Police and a character on Joan’s reality TV show“Joan Knows Best.”

Most recently the two have launched a tour of the hit show “The Bitch is Back”, with performances in Boston, Palm Springs, Los Angeles and Los nowNew Hope. In the past Mr. Tripoli has been the opening act for Joan Rivers as Joan took her comedy Stage Act on the road.

TONY TRIPOLI, spent 4 incredible years as a regular opening act for JOAN RIVERS, and his hilarious stand-up can be seen all around the U.S., and on gay cruises.

For 4.5 years Tony was Head Writer/Senior Producer on E!‘s hit show, “FASHION POLICE.” He was also a Producer/Cast Member on “JOAN AND MELISSA: Joan Knows Best” on WEtv, as well as the online phenomenon, “IN BED WITH JOAN.”

Previously, He was the only male writer on STYLE’S first scripted comedy, “The Dish”. (“The Soup” for gals and gays…He was in heaven.)

Tony played the Indian from the Village People on an episode of “Frank TV”, which he considers his most offensive race-related joke EVER. He also appears as a talking head on clip shows like “50 Super Epic TV Moments”, “TV Guide’s 25 Sexiest Couples”, “TV Guide’s 25 Most Hilarious Commercials”, and others that you have seen playing with the sound off in mid-level nails salons across the country.

If you watch “Two and a Half Men”, then you saw him as the prissy gay guy with the black husband and the adopted Chinese son. If you missed it, trust me; he was hilarious.

Tony Co-Starred alongside BO DEREK and MORGAN FAIRCHILD, in “Fashion House”, the very first English-language Telenovella, airing on the newMY NETWORK TV (owned by FOX Television) . Someone told him that being on TV 6 nights a week changes your life. That person obviously never worked for Fox.

Before that, Tony appeared on BRAVO’s EMMY WINNING hit show, “Kathy Griffin: my life on the D-list”, as Kathy’s main gay; a role he beat out half of West Hollywood to get. (But, it’s best not to ask him about HER…)

Tony grew up in Phoenix, Arizona; and while he wouldn’t relive a single minute of his childhood for any amount of money, it will always be home…He began singing at the age of two, and toured the U.S. and Taiwan with the Phoenix Boys’ Choir. He did a crapload of shows throughout high school and also smoked pot twice…both times, he cried and fell asleep. Yep, this guy LOVES to party…

He moved to Los Angeles in 1989, attended the acclaimed American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and upon graduation, put his degree to great use by moving to Japan to play Prince Charming in parades at Tokyo Disneyland. Tony has sung on NBC’s “Must-See TV”, worked as a Chippendale (yeah, that’s right…. the strippers), and, in a real moment of pride, sang Cole Porter songs for the American Plumber’s Association, on stage with a dozen toilets.

From 2001 to 2005, he owned the Studio City location of MY GYM Children’s Fitness Centers, teaching gymnastics to kids from 3 months to 12 years of age. In 2005, he sold the business and went into comedy, thereby beginning his quest to become “THE GAY OPRAH.”
