Herbal salts and herbal liquors salts are the topics of a symposium sponsored by the Delaware Valley Unit (www.delvalherbs.org) of The Herb Society of America to be held Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Princeton Windrows. Skye Sluter, writer, lecturer, and publisher of a bimonthly newsletter, “The Herbal Leaf,” will speak on why we need salt and ways to use it in our everyday lives. Karen O’Brien, an herbal business owner and lecturer, will delve into the rich history of herbs used in healing, aphrodisiacs, and even to dispel demons. There will be time for questions and discussion. The  Chef of the Windrows will use some of these herbs in a gourmet luncheon including soup, salad,  a choice of three entrees followed by  a marvelous dessert.  For further information, please contact Helen Hamilton at hdhamilton@comcast.net or at 609-919-1389. Please mail your check for $40.00 to Don Wright, 84 Woosamonsa Rd., Pennington, NJ 08534 and include your name, address, your e-mail address, and your phone number. The deadline for reservations is Friday, April 1, 2017.  Princeton Windrows is across from Forrestal Village off Route 1 south.
