Alcohol and marijuana remain the most commonly used substances by youth nationally, in Pennsylvania and in New Hope-Solebury. Around 25% of 8th graders report having tried alcohol. That number increases dramatically between 8th and 10th grade. Experimentation with marijuana is most prevalent among 10th 12th graders. As they get older, youth are more likely to engage in risky behaviors such as binge drinking and impaired driving. Join us for an insightful presentation about how the two most commonly used substances are accessed and used by youth in our community. Parents and caregivers of middle and high school youth are strongly encouraged to attend.

Presenter: David A. Fialko, ICPS, CTTS, The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc.
