On the first Saturday of December, Maria Rodale visits the market for a very special book-signing event featuring her new (and first) cookbook, “Scratch”. For those of you who are already big fans, we can’t wait to see you here! For the rest of you, an introduction is in order…

The granddaughter of the founder of the organic movement in America, Maria Rodale grew up in a family that championed the real food movement long before it was a trend. The company her grandfather founded grew from the creation of “Organic Farming and Gardening” magazine in 1942 into a global business and publishing house, with partners around the world and New York Times bestselling publications like Al Gore’s “An InconvenientTruth” and “Wheat Belly” by Dr. William Davis. In addition to serving as CEO and Chairman of Rodale Inc, Maria is also the author of numerous books, most notably 2010’s widely successful “Organic Manifesto: How Organic Farming Can Heal Our Planet, Feed the World, and Keep Us Safe”.

This year, her newest publication, “Scratch: Home Cooking for Everyone Made Simple, Fun and Totally Delicious,” is also her first cookbook. “Scratch” is based on the delicious recipes and remembrances that shaped her life and her food journey—including her farm-to-table roots and her Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Written in her warm, signature style, Rodale encourages readers to roll up their sleeves and see the kitchen as a place to “experiment, learn, make a mess, and laugh about it.”

Maria will be here signing copies of this beautiful and inspiring addition to your pantry library on December 3rd, from 11-2 pm. Keep in mind…a signed copy of “Scratch” makes a perfect holiday gift for all the foodies in your life!
