Our Lady of Guadalupe Church
Bucks County Choral Society ushers in the holiday season with a concert program that ranges from the pageantry and humility of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat to the echo of familiar Christmas carols. For many, this concert marks the beginning of their personal celebration of the holiday season while families find the magic of the season in every Choral Society Christmas presentation.
The Bucks County Choral Society Chamber Choir will perform three early settings of the “Ave Maria,” bracketing two “modern” settings of poetic texts related to her. Throughout the concert, audience members are encouraged to sing along with familiar Christmas carols as well as Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” Rounding out the program will be several contemporary Christmas choral pieces that reflect the majesty and mystery of the Christmas story. The community is invited to join in this musical holiday tradition at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Saturday, December 10th at 8:00 pm (prelude at 7:30 pm), and Sunday December 11th at 4:00 pm (prelude at 3:30 pm). Ticket information is available online at www.buckschoral.org or by phone at 800-838-3006.
