WDVR fm will present world class acoustic guitarist Beppe Gambetta in a concert of Italian traditional and popular songs. Gambetta who lives in Italy and Stockton, New Jersey has put together for the first time his re-discovery and re-arrangements of iconic Italian “cantautori” (singer-songwriters). In this artistic work, Beppe will re-propose songs with powerful poetic meaning and bring them to a new life and interpretation based on his creativity and his stylish acoustic guitar. In this special “Canzoni” project, Beppe will become a storyteller, translating the lyrics and accompany the audience in a journey through Italian old and new songs. You will hear works of artists Fabrizio De André, Francesco Guccini, Sergio Endrigo and many others. Beppe will sing in different regional dialects and add Italian melodies to his arrangements. The evening promises to be an intriguing journey through passionate melody, poetry and guitar.

This concert kicks off WDVR’s Fall fund drive which starts October 6.
