ART & LIFE AT SOLEBURY’S SCHOOLHOUSE

All ages are welcome to experience country fun and games at Solebury’s historic one-room schoolhouse on Saturday, July 22, 10:30 am-1 pm. This program is offered free to the public through a collaboration between the Solebury Township Historical Society and the James A. Michener Art Museum.

From 10:30 am-1 pm, share in schoolyard games, scavenger hunts, bell-ringing and other hands-on activities such as writing with quills and slates. Presentations will be given from 11 am-12 pm featuring Adrienne Neszmelyi-Romano, Director of Interpretation and Innovation at the Michener Art Museum who will talk about the New Hope-Solebury High School art collection, currently on view at the museum. Robert McEwan, Vice President of the Solebury Township Historical Society will discuss the history of the schoolhouse.

Space is limited so advance registration is required. Act 48 credits available for teachers. The schoolhouse is located at the intersection of Sugan and Upper York Roads in Solebury Village, Bucks County, PA.
