Nancy Shill is a long time award-winning artist in the river towns. Best known for her abstract collages, she now swings towards oils, some of which she will be exhibiting for the first time. Nature and the river influence many of her abstract pictures. She has become active on the “Splash” project where she teaching birding and an appreciation of their river habitat. Often people notice birds in her abstracts- they seem to just pop in there on their own.

Mike Mann can often be seen biking and painting in and around the river towns. His charming pictures are full of local people, places and wildlife. He describes his work as realistic impressionism.  His love of our beautiful environment is evident in all of his works. Mike is delighted to help support Splash’s efforts to educate people about the importance of a healthy Delaware, since the river frequently figures in his paintings. He is especially thrilled about the return of Bald Eagles.

SPLASH takes groups of adults or children on educational steamboat sails on our beautiful Delaware River, where they learn about aquatic science, birds, local history and engineering. The old style steamboat docks in Lambertville.
