New Hope Borough is working to hire a new manager and has brought on a seasoned municipal leader to fill the role on an interim basis.
New Hope Borough Council voted in late July to appoint Dave Nyman to fill the manager job.

Nyman held the township manager job in Upper Makefield Township until he retired last year. He has previously worked as interim manager in Warwick, Wrightstown, Plumstead, and West Rockhill townships.
Nyman has also served as the vice chairperson of the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors and is a member of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors.
Peter Gray, the borough’s previous manager, left his job for the assistant manager role in Bristol Borough.

Council President Ken Maisel said the goal is to fill the role within three to four months.
The council president said the local government will undertake a “significant vetting process” for the new borough manager.

“Welcome and thank you,” Maisel said to Nyman.
Looking ahead to the upcoming budget planning, Maisel said New Hope Borough was fortunate to have Nyman assisting the municipality.
The council recently enlisted the Meyner Center at Lafayette College to aid in the search for the new borough manager.
