A lightning strike during a late Sunday night thunderstorm damaged a single-family home in Solebury Township.
Solebury Township police and the New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the 6800 block of Upper York Road (Route 263) just after 11 p.m. for reports of a dwelling fire.
According to police, arriving officers found fire visible from the front of the house near the roof and third floor.
Firefighters launched an aggressive attack on the flames and put out a minor extension of the fire that had spread into the roof and soffit area of the residence, police said.

Police reported that all residents and pets escaped the home safely, and no emergency personnel were hurt amid the call.
The Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services, Midway Volunteer Fire Company, Point Pleasant Fire Company, Lingohocken Fire Company, and the Delaware Township (New Jersey) Fire Company assisted.
