New Hope Borough police are investigating a late-night burglary at a restaurant and are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
The burglary happened Tuesday at approximately 11:12 p.m. at an establishment on South Main Street.
A man entered the business and attempted to force open the cash register, according to the New Hope Borough Police Department.
Investigators described the suspect as a white male, standing between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-2. He is believed to be in his 20s or 30s with a slim build and light facial hair.
At the time of the burglary, the individual was seen wearing a T-shirt featuring “Boothbay Harbor, Maine,” a light-colored hat, jogger-style sweatpants, and light-colored Asics sneakers.
Police are asking anyone who may recognize the individual or who has information about the crime to contact the New Hope Borough Police Department at 215-862-3033. Tips may also be submitted anonymously via the CrimeWatch website.
