A fire at a barn in Solebury Township brought out crews from around the area.

The fire was reported around 9 p.m. Sunday in the 6200 block of Meetinghouse Road.

Midway Fire Company Chief Tom Benscoter said crews arrived to find a fully-involved structure.

The fire was placed under control around 11:10 p.m.

No one was hurt, but 300 chicks died in the blaze, Benscoter said.

The Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause, according to county spokesperson James O’Malley.

Benscoter said crews laid 1,600 feet of hose line to get water to the scene.

A task force of tanker trucks from Bucks and Hunterdon counties responded to the scene.

In addition to the Midway Fire Company, the New Hope Eagle, Point Pleasant, Delaware Township, Lingohocken, Warwick, Plumsteadville, and Doylestown fire companies responded. Central Bucks EMS also was called to the scene.
