Looking for a chance to talk directly with the folks who patrol our streets? The City of Lambertville Police Department has you covered.
The department announced they are hosting a “Coffee with a Cop” event next week to give residents a chance to chat one-on-one with officers in a relaxed setting.
The meet-up is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. It will be held at Fisherman’s Mark at 262 North Main Street.
The “Coffee with a Cop” program is designed to move discussions away from formal town halls and into a more casual environment. The goal is to simply bring community members and officers together over a cup of joe to talk about issues and get to know each other better, officials said.
Lt. Robert Brown, who leads the department, noted the laid-back nature of the event.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to meet the officers who serve them, ask questions, and share what’s on their minds,” said Brown. “Our goal is to foster stronger community ties and open dialogue. There are no speeches or specific agendas; this is simply a chance to connect and build mutual trust.”
Residents are encouraged to stop by for a cup of coffee and a conversation.
