Police Log: Drunk Man Caught After Revving Engine, Crashes & More

June 9

Crash

Officers investigated a non-reportable traffic accident on West Bridge Street.

Underage Drinking

Several juveniles were found in possession of and having consumed alcohol while under the legal drinking age of 21. The individuals were released to their parents and referred to the Youth Aid Panel.

Alarm Call

Police responded to a fire alarm activation at Nektar on West Mechanic Street. No fire or hazardous conditions were found.

June 10

DUI

While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on South Main Street. The driver was stopped and subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol.

June 11

Business Check

During a routine business check, officers discovered an unsecured door. The interior of the premises was checked and found to be secure. Officers locked the business before clearing the scene.

Hit-And-Run Crash

A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported. The victim stated their parked vehicle was struck while at the New Hope-Ivyland Railroad. The investigation is ongoing.

June 12

Disorderly Conduct

Officers responded to a report of a disorderly person at Odette’s River House. After investigation, one individual was asked to leave the premises.

Crash

A non-reportable traffic accident occurred in the Wells Fargo parking lot.

June 13

Fraud

A resident reported being the victim of fraud after discovering unauthorized activity on their bank account. An investigation was initiated.

Downed Wires

Wires were reported down on North Main Street. The appropriate utility company was notified for repairs.

Disorderly Conduct

While on patrol, officers observed two individuals acting in a disorderly manner. The situation was investigated and resolved without further incident.

June 15

DUI

While conducting foot patrol, officers encountered a vehicle stopped on South Main Street. The driver was revving the engine loudly and obstructing traffic. Upon investigation, the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for DUI.
