New Hope Borough Council recently discuses the 2025 road paving program.

West Ferry Street and East Ferry Street will be the focus of this year’s road program. The bulk of the road program will consist of filling potholes and performing base repairs,  Council President Ken Maisel said.

Other streets might be considered for road repairs on a separate contract bid at a later date.

One street mentioned that the borough council should consider was West Mechanic Street.

In last year’s road program, St. Andrews Circle, Stoney Hill Road, and Glen Eagle Road were paved.

After a cold winter, New Hope Borough is due for some road repairs. Potholes have become a big issue to local residents and PennDOT will be out filling holes on state roads.

Council approved advertising the road program as they seek bids for the work.

For the 2024 program, Bray Brothers was chosen and was paid $100,003 for their services,  per previous reporting by the New Hope Free Press.

The borough council plans to consider bids in April.

Borough officials hope to begin the repaving the repair work in June.
