April 24

Suspended License

A 56-year-old Bushkill, Pennsylvania, man was charged with operating a motor vehicle during a period of license suspension resulting from driving under the influence. The man was operating his vehicle on a sidewalk on Bridge Street April 20 where he was then charged with driving while having a suspended license, driving on a sidewalk and obstructing the passage of other vehicles. Sergeant Memolo is the investigating officer.

Criminal Mischief

At approximately 11:33 a.m., a vehicle parked on South Main Street was reported and found to have all four tires intentionally punctured causing each tire to flatten. Additionally, the vehicle had several intentional scratch marks on the rear of the vehicle. Patrolman Brown is the investigating officer. 

May 2

Found Vehicle

At approximately 1:22 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from North Union Street.  The vehicle was found in the area the where the victim had parked the vehicle.  Det. Albani is the investigating officer.

Harassment

At approximately 12:08 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on Brunswick Avenue for ongoing harassment.  Detective Albani is the investigating officer.

Bad Checks

At approximately 9:20 a.m., a business on North Union Street reported receiving bad checks. DCpl Bast is the investigating officer.

Harassment

At approximately 10:03 a.m., patrol responded to a residence on Brunswick Avenue for ongoing harassment. Detective Albani is the investigating officer.

Fraud

At approximately 5:16 p.m., patrol responded to city hall for a report of a fraudulent check. Detective Albani is the investigating officer.

Stolen Vehicle

At approximately 8:20 a.m., a resident on Holcombe Way reported their vehicle was stolen from their driveway. On Sunday, May 12 at 11:28 p.m., the vehicle was recovered by Buck’s County authorities.  Patrolman Zilliox is the investigating officer. 

May 11

DUI

At approximately 11:32 p.m., a 39-year-old Lambertville man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. The man was released with a court date of June 6. Patrolman Bereheiko is the arresting officer.  

May 15

Theft

At approximately 11:47 a.m., a resident of Heritage Village reported having a religious statue and small wooden sign stolen from outside of their apartment. Corporal Wurpel is the investigating officer. 

Theft

At approximately 5:24 p.m., a resident from Heritage Village on Brunswick Ave reported a wreath and two American flags missing from their apartment door. Detective Albani is the investigating officer. 

Hit-And-Run Crash

At approximately 9:53 p.m., patrol responded to the area of North Main Street and Coryell Street for a hit & run motor vehicle crash where the striking vehicle left the scene.  It was determined a a vehicle struck a parked car and fled the scene. Around the same time, a disabled vehicle was located on county route 518 in West Amwell Township near Lambertville where the driver was arrested for driving while under the influence. Sgt Gramlich is investigating if the disabled vehicle is connected to the crash. 

May 19

DUI

At approximately 9:06 p.m., patrol responded to the area of Route 29 and Feeder Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. It was determined a vehicle struck a posted sign at this intersection and became disabled on route 165 near Swan Street. The driver of the vehicle, a 40-year-old man from North Brunswick, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report and accident and careless driving. The man was later released with a court date of June 20. Sergeant Gramlich is the investigating officer.  

Trespassing

At approximately 10:27 p.m., a 46-year-old Lambertville man was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing after being found on private property on Church Street where prior notice to not return was previously given. The man was released with a court date of June 20.  Sergeant Gramlich is the arresting officer.

May 20

Unwanted Persons

At approximately 2:21 p.m., patrol responded to a residence on North Union Street for a report of unwanted persons inside. The situation was quickly resolved without incident. Detective Albani investigated.
