Fireworks are coming back to the New Hope Borough and City of Lambertville waterfronts.

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce once again is team up with New Hope Celebrates to bring the popular displays to the area starting in May.

Michael Sklar, the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce president, said the fireworks are planned for Friday, May 17. From June through September, the fireworks will take place the first Friday of each month.

The exact timing and final date confirmation is being worked out, but the fireworks typically have started around 9:30 p.m., Sklar told NewHopeFreePress.com.

This year’s festivities in New Hope Borough will include artists, vendors, eateries, and a beer garden, the chamber president said.

The chamber has received approval for the fireworks from New Hope Borough Council.

“We’re so excited that council approved our summer series in partnership with New Hope Celebrates. This inclusive event gives us another year to show off amazing artists, vendors, businesses, restaurants, and bring visitors of all backgrounds to explore and enjoy our incredible town,” he said.

The fireworks were held for many years before the displays ended. Last year, the shows returned and were popular.
