Popular local destination Peddler’s Village has appointed a new CEO.

Donna Jamison, chair of the Peddler’s Village Board of Directors and daughter of the village founder Earl Jamison, made the announcement Tuesday on the promotion of Bob McGowan from chief operating officer to chief executive officer.

Peddler’s Village, the popular destination known for its unique blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment, said in a statement McGowan has helped lead the 42-acre property for the past six years.

He will continue to guide the real estate and hospitality business into its next phase of growth.

“Bob has delivered record-breaking sales and profits after expertly navigating the devastating Covid-19 shutdown and the lingering challenges. He values tremendously both our employees and our customers, and he has consistently improved the level of retail and the physical property while also expanding its entertainment offerings,” Jamison said.

McGowan’s time at Peddler’s Village, which sits in Buckingham and Solebury townships, has marked improvements in the retail experience and property enhancements, as well as an expansion of entertainment options.

The new CEO has played a significant role in expanding important partnerships with community leaders and nonprofit organizations, according to the destination.

In addition to his Peddler’s Village duties, McGowan serves on the boards of Visit Bucks County and the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.

Before joining Peddler’s Village, McGowan managed several prominent hospitality properties in Philadelphia. His most recent roles included serving as area general manager for the Valley Forge Hotel Management Company and PM Hotel Group where he oversaw operations at notable hotels in King of Prussia. McGowan’s extensive background in marketing and sales, including his role as regional director of sales and marketing for five properties connected to the Somerset Marriott Hotel in New Jersey, has also contributed to his success.

McGowan is a Penn State University alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management.
