Barstool Sports’ founder and owner Dave Portnoy was in New Hope Borough recently giving one of his famous pizza reviews.

Portnoy was on a recent swing through Bucks County, and he hit Russo’s Pizza on Main Street in the old borough hall.

Portnoy went on to rate the large pizza, which was a take on tomato pie, a 7.5 out of 10.

Portnoy said the pie was good tasting but the size of the pizza was a bit too big for his liking.

In the past, Portnoy has said he is a tough critic who rarely gives out scores of nine or higher.

The sports media company CEO showed off a Russo’s T-shirt that said “The Michael Jordan of Pizza.”

Portnoy, also known as “El Presidente,” was quick to compliment the New Hope Borough pizzeria. However, the video editor had to correct that Portnoy referred to the borough as being in New Jersey.

“Very picturesque … cool vibes,” Portnoy said of New Hope Borough.

The review dropped Monday evening on social media.

The New York Times has called Portnoy “almost certainly America’s most influential person in pizza.”

Portnoy recently reviewed Lucatelli’s Pizzeria in Doylestown, Peppino’s Tomato Pies in Chalfont, and Bucks Bagels in Warminster.

In the past, Portnoy rated the pizza at Cesares Ristorante in Bristol Borough.
