Philadelphia Man Charged With Theft In Lambertville

A man is facing charges after being arrested by Lambertville police.

A 62-year-old Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with theft and credit card theft after allegedly stealing from a business on South Main Street, according to the City of Lambertville Police Department.

Authorities identified the man as Timothy J. Cuthbert.

According to police, Cuthbert and an unidentified woman entered a South Main Street business on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 11, under the guise of potential customers. While the woman distracted the employees upstairs, Cuthbert proceeded to the basement and allegedly stole an employee’s wallet.

Following the theft, Cuthbert is accused of leaving the scene and making multiple purchases at various Pennsylvania businesses using the stolen credit and debit cards.

Lambertville police were able to locate and apprehend Cuthbert after an investigation.

Sergeant Memolo of the Lambertville Police Department led the investigation into the incident.
