Police Log: Two Bicyclists Struck, Theft Of Copper Arrest & More

April 20

Assault

At approximately 12:45 p.m., an individual reported while walking east on York Street with a  scooter in the area of Sheridan Park, a male approached and struck the reporting party in the face after inquiring about the scooter. The assailant then fled on foot. Patrolman Bereheiko is investigating.  

April 22

Struck Bicyclists

At approximately 7:27 p.m., two bicyclists were struck by a vehicle in the area of Clinton  Street and Delevan Street. The bicyclists sustained minor injuries and were treated on scene. Sgt. Memolo is investigating.  

April 30

DUI

At approximately 1:59 a.m., a 21-year-old Ringoes was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence, careless driving, failure to maintain lane and improper turn. The man was released with a court date.

May 1

DUI

At approximately 1:55 a.m., A 27-year-old Lindenwold, Camden County man was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence, careless driving and improper turn at an intersection. The man was released with a court date.

Theft

At approximately 3:36 p.m., A 43-year-old Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania man was arrested and charged with theft of copper and criminal trespass after being found on private property on North Main Street. The manwas released with a court date.
