BMW Crashes Through CVS, One Person Taken To Hospital

One person was transported to the hospital.

A BMW caused significant damage when it crashed through the front doors of the CVS in the City of Lambertville Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. at the CVS on Cherry Street.

Images show the BMW traveled through the store’s front doors, through a shopping area, and into the candy isle, stopping in the area where discounted Easter candy was being sold.

Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps reported that the driver was the only person who was injured and they were transported to Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. City officials said the injuries were minor.

The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately released.

The City of Lambertville said there was no threat to the public in the wake of the incident.

The damage closed the CVS for the rest of Saturday.

The City of Lambertville Fire Department, Hunterdon Medical Center EMS, Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps, Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad, and city police responded to the call.
