The folks from McCaffrey’s Food Markets held a preview bash Wednesday evening to commemorate the opening of their New Hope store on Thursday.
We decided to bring our camera and appetite, and the food on hand didn’t disappoint.
We even got to meet Jim McCaffrey, President of McCaffrey Food Markets, who was understandably delighted and proud to finally be opening the doors to the much-anticipated new location.
“We’re just thrilled to be here in New Hope,” he said. “It’s a great community.”
The store features a gourmet sandwich station, a broad selection of cheeses, an extensive grocery offering, a Java Jim’s coffee bar, some great-looking produce, a primo array of meat, and a top-notch bakery.
The store has an open, airy, almost barn-like feel, with more natural lighting that’s friendlier to the eyes than the usual fluorescent supermarket glare. Shoppers can use eco-friendly reusable bags — single-use plastic bags and straws will not be available at the store.
Opening day will start with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by special sales and tastings throughout the store.
