Dubliner on the Delaware in New Hope hosts Thanksgiving eve food drive Wednesday

The Dubliner on the Delaware at 34 N. Main St. in New Hope will host the 3rd annual “Thanksgiving Eve Food Drive and Fun” event on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 5  to 9 p.m.

Organized by North Main Street notables Nicole Curran, Greg Gauthier, and Mary Brashier, all items collected at the event will benefit the Delaware Valley Food Pantry, which has helped feed families in the Lambertville/New Hope area since 1955.

“We are lucky to have such great friends and to live in great communities like New Hope and Lambertville,” said Brashier. “While we have a tradition of meeting with friends on the night before Thanksgiving, we felt that as lucky as we are, there are many who are not.”

“Our first couple of years, we all met at the Landing and received great donations for Fisherman’s Mark,” added Curran. “This year, we decided to spread the love, and are donating to Delaware Valley Food Pantry, while also teaming up with another great local establishment, the Dubliner.”

A cash bar and drink specials will be available at the Wednesday evening event. Donations can also be dropped off at the Dubliner starting at noon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Right now, the pantry needs canned and dry goods, diapers (sizes 1, 2, 3), deodorant, toiletries, and feminine care products, say organizers.
