UPDATE 12 p.m. July 12: Bucks DA says neighbor heard multiple shotgun rounds fired Saturday afternoon. Cosmo DiNardo has been released from jail on $1 million bail, and his parents’ accounts of what occurred may be drawing interest, unconfirmed reports say.

“Person of interest” Cosmo DiNardo and missing teen Jimi Tar Patrick knew each other online, a search of DiNardo’s Facebook friends list revealed. Patrick, 19, is one of four missing males at the center of a massive search going on right now near Route 202 in Solebury Township.

A wider search of Cosmo DiNardo’s social media posts reveals a young man with a love of fishing, athletic shoes, and guns.

Bucks County DA Matthew Weintraub said Tuesday that the arrest of Cosmo DiNardo was not related to the search for four young men from Bucks and Mongomery who disappeared last week, although he is regarded as a “person of interest.”

DiNardo was taken into custody on Monday and charged with a firearms possession offense from February. Levittown Now reported that DiNardo was suffering from mental illness, which hypothetically could have disqualified him from gun ownership.

Investigators continued on Tuesday to search a farm off Route 202 near Upper Mountain Road in Solebury Township.

The family of DiNardo, 20, of Bensalem, owns both Solebury properties that have been searched thus far.
