The New Hope-Solebury Community Association will present the New Hope Automobile Show on Saturday, Aug. 13, and Sunday, Aug. 14, on the grounds of the New Hope-Solebury High School at 180 W. Bridge St.

The auto show, now its 59th year, features some of the finest examples of classic and antique cars, and offers a different lineup each day (see list of cars below). This year’s edition of the show celebrates the 50th anniversary of Ford’s win at The 24 Hours of LeMans race in 1966, and a 1965 Ford GT40 will be on display to commemorate the milestone.

Gates will open both days at 9 a.m., and the show runs until 4 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the gate, and cost $10 for general admission, and $5 for senior citizens. Active Duty Military, Active Duty National Guard, and Active Duty Reserve personnel and their dependents may attend for free (please have ID). Children age 12 and under are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult. And parking is free. Yay!

Proceeds provide funds for scholarships to New Hope-Solebury High School seniors, as well as to the cancer research of Fox Chase Cancer Center. The New Hope Automobile Show also supports other charitable organizations by partnering with them to produce the event.

For those still wishing to register a vehicle, call 215-862-5665 or visit their website — all vehicles must register in advance, and must be entered “judge ready.”

Awards will be presented to first, second and third place winners in more than 25 categories each day. At 2:30 p.m., each day’s winners participate in the “Parade of Champions.”

Remember, if you want to see all of the cars, you’ll need to come both days. If you can’t make it both days, then check the list below to see which day has more of your faves!
