Quimby Mountain Band appearing at Triumph Brewery in New Hope

quimbyQuimby Mountain Band is Triumph Brewery‘s main act for Saturday night, opening at 10 p.m., and if past is a predictor, they won’t disappoint.

Known for their incredible live performances, Quimby Mountain Band has opened up for several major acts in the last few months. With the release of their newest CD, Quimby Mountain Band III, the band is looking to “expand their horizons in 2014.”

This latest momentum comes on the heels of their second CD, Move On, which gained national attention, with two songs on the disc receiving substantial air time on the Sirius XM Jam Station.

High Times named the band one of the Best Unsigned Bands of 2013. While the newest CD seems to be gaining popularity, the two lead songs on the CD, “Town of Love” and “Breakin’ The Bank,” look like hits. In concert, the band plays predominately originals with a funk, blues, southern rock, reggae and soul sound, or as bandmembers like to say, “We are all over the place.” Some of their music has a jam-like flareto it, but the band isn’t confined to any one style, they say.
