He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and lived in Tenafly, NJ before moving to Lambertville 11 years ago.
Manuel was partner and CFO at Kwasha Lipton Consulting Actuaries in Fort Lee for 32 years before retiring in 1998.
He was a member of the Society of Actuaries, and also a member of Temple Kehilat HaNahar in New Hope.
He is survived by Jeannie Castells, his wife of 32 years; his daughters, Carmen Castells Schofield and her husband Charles of Pipersville, Catalina Castells of Buckingham; his granddaughter, Rowan Marvil; and siblings, Mary Rose, Teresa, Carmen, Carlos and Onofre; among others.
Funeral services were held Jan. 19 in Metuchen, NJ.
