New Hope synagogue to host imam

Pic of Imam AliImam Abdul Malik-Ali will be speaking about his recent pilgrimage to Mecca where he joined over 3 million Muslims to make the “Hajj.” His talk, scheduled for Jan. 26 at 2 p.m., will be held at Kehilat HaNahar, The Little Shul by the River, in New Hope.  The presentation is free and open to the public.

Imam Abdul Malik-Ali is the Imam of Masjidul Taqwa in Trenton and Chaplain at Ryder University. He is also vice president of The Interfaith Community for Middle East Peace (ICMEP), which is cosponsoring the event. Imam Malik-Ali has been actively involved in promoting interfaith relations for more than 20 years.

The imam’s presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session and light refreshments. Kehilat HaNahar is located at 85 W. Mechanic St. in New Hope. For further information, contact Larry Snider at (609) 481-5804.
