Award-winning comedy as Judy Gold plays two shows at Rrazz Room in New Hope

Judy Gold will be appearing at the Rrrazz Room in New Hope for two shows — Jan. 17 and 18 at 8 p.m.

The Emmy Award-winning actress and comedian is best known as the star of her two critically-acclaimed long-running off-Broadway hit shows. Gold’s most recent show, The Judy Show – My Life As A Sitcom, ran from June 2011 to Jan. 2012 at the D-R-2 theater in New York, and was part of 2013 season at The Geffen Theatre in L.A.

Gold is the host of Nick’s new comedy show, “NickMom Night Out.” She was cast numerous times in Nora & Delia Ephon’s hit off-Broadway show “Love Loss and What I Wore.” Gold has guest starred on 30 Rock and The Big C, and appears regularly on  The View, Current TV’s Say Anything with Joy Behar, and Tru TV Presents World’s Dumbest. She has co-hosted Anderson Live and has been seen on The Wendy Williams Show, The Next Food Network Star & TLC’s The Next Great Baker. Gold also hosts a monthly radio show on Sirus/XM called Hatched By Two Chicks. She is the host of the Funny People series at the 92nd St. Y, and is a frequent contributor to The Moth.

Gold won two Emmy Awards for writing and producing The Rosie O’Donnell Show.  She was nominated twice for The American Comedy Award’s funniest female stand-up. She has written for Wondertime Magazine, Momlogic.com and The Advocate. Gold is an instructor at ESPA Primary Stages where she teaches Solo Performance.

She has also appeared on Ugly Betty, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, Hollywood Squares, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Conan O’Brien Show to name a few. Gold was nominated for the 2012 Outer Critics Circle Award for The Judy Show, as well as a 2006 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance for her previous show, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother. In addition, the show won the 2007 GLAAD award for “Outstanding New York Theater.”
