World Aids Day observance after holiday tree lighting Sunday

light up lthe nightFACT Bucks County and New Hope Celebrates will be holding a World AIDS Day observance following the annual holiday tree lighting near the Logan Inn.

Below is a brief summary of Sunday evening’s events:

Tree Lighting  (Logan Inn/Ferry Street triangle)

5 p.m. – Carolers, holiday music and children’s crafts, hot chocolate, cider and cookies

5-8 p.m. –  NH-Solebury H.S. Jazz Band

5:30 p.m. – Central Bucks H.S.-West Choir

6 p.m. – Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive

7 p.m. – First tree lighting featuring 30,000 lights

7:15 pm – New Hope-Solebury Community Choir

World AIDS Day observance (Ferry Landing Park across the street from the holiday tree, next to Martine’s)

7:30 p.m. – Candlelight vigil for those who have fallen from AIDS and to offer hope for a cure and offer support for those currently living with HIV/AIDS. Reverend Michael Ruk will offer words. Please feel free to offer up the names of those that you would like to remember. Martine’s providing hot cider.

8 p.m. – Observance continues with a Candlight Walk over the bridge to Lambertville, where Wessel + O’Connor Art Gallery (7 N.Main St.) will host a wine and cheese reception and a special showing of artwork.

9 p.m. – Second tree lighting at Logan Inn
