New Hope shows its LGBT pride in tenth anniversary parade

The New Hope Celebrates’ “Pride Through the Decades” Parade is held this year on New Hope’s Main Street from noon to 1 p.m. on May 18.

It’s one of the crowning events in the week-long celebration of LGBT pride pioneered by well-known local Dan Brooks some ten years ago.

The parade features marching bands, floats,  supporters and special interest groups. It is followed by a vendor fair with a varied mix of eclectic merchandise and a “Rock the Block Party,” featuring many entertainers, all free of charge, with space donated in the Bucks County Playhouse parking lot .
