The wedding of Fitzpatrick, the 52-year-old Republican congressman, and Heinrich, a 37-year-old White House reporter, was featured this week in People magazine.

“It was important to Jacqui and Brian that their wedding reflected their families’ heritages, and the pair incorporated a few traditions throughout the day from people who have shaped their lives,” the publication wrote.

The couple began dating in 2021 after the five-term congressman invited Heinrich to attend the Kennedy Center Honors, Heinrich told Politico.

Heinrich, who previously covered Congress, said she cleared the relationship with her bosses at the cable news network. She described the congressman as a “wonderful” partner.

U.S. Rep. Don Bacon, a Republican from Nebraska, called the event a “beautiful wedding and reception.”

Lori Chavez-DeRemer, the former U.S. Department of Labor secretary who recently resigned following controversy, shared photos on X, formerly Twitter, describing it as an “incredible weekend.”

Fox News Channel host Jimmy Failla posted a lighthearted note on X, joking that the bartenders at the reception were “about to get a workout.”
