Bucks County election officials are addressing inquiries regarding voter registration mailings sent to households by outside organizations.
The Bucks County Board of Elections said in a recent notice that the mailings are being distributed by third-party groups, including the Center for Voter Information (CVI) and the Voter Participation Center (VPC).
Officials said that the documents are not sent or sponsored by the county government.
The mailers, which are often addressed to โCurrent Resident,โ are designed to assist individuals who may not yet be registered to vote.
Although the mailings originate from third parties, the organizations have printed the Bucks County Board of Electionsโ address on the return envelopes. That ensures that completed applications are sent directly to county officials for processing, officials said.
Residents who are already registered to vote are advised that they can simply disregard the mailings.
For those who wish to stop receiving these solicitations, the board recommends contacting the organizations directly. Both groups require a code found on the mailing to process removal requests:
- Center for Voter Information (CVI): Residents can call (866) 204-4137, email unsubscribe@centerforvoterinformation.org, or visit the organizationโs website.
- Voter Participation Center (VPC): Residents can call (866) 209-9755, email unsubscribe@voterparticipation.org, or visit the VPC website.
Election officials are encouraging residents to verify or update their official voter registration status through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvaniaโs website at pa.gov/agencies/vote/voter-registration.
