Parx Casino cut the ribbon Thursday morning on its new Parxview Hotel after a renovation that transformed the former Holiday Inn into a luxury destination steps from the popular gaming and entertainment facility.
The hotel in Bensalem Township features 160 guest rooms, including 16 suites and 14 presidential suites.
The hotel, its rooms, and other spaces are designed to complement Parx Casino‘s style and offerings.
Eric Hausler, president and CEO of Parx and Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, said the project represents a major investment in the area.
“We are proud to debut the premier hotel experience in the region,” Hausler said. “We think it’ll be consistent with what our guests have come to associate with the Parx brand, which is the highest-quality product, excellent food, and amazing guest service.”
The company purchased and completely renovated the building rather than demolishing it.
John Dixon, chief operating officer of Parx, oversaw the renovation process that gutted the entire facility.
“It’s an old building, and it hadn’t had a lot of love and attention for many years,” Dixon said. “We ended up renovating everything.”
The hotel operates as a completely smoke-free environment and includes amenities such as a fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool deck, and The Bistro at Parxview Hotel for dining and cocktails.
A complimentary shuttle service connects guests between the hotel and casino.
Hausler said the pool deck will be completed by late May and described it as “the best pool in the area.”
The facility also includes a designated smoking area outside the hotel for guests who smoke.
Bensalem Township Mayor Joe DiGirolamo attended the ceremony and praised Parx as a business partner.
The mayor presented the company with a commemorative plaque recognizing the hotel opening.
“This great new addition to Bensalem’s portfolio,” DiGirolamo said. “Eric, your team here has done an incredible job and we thank you for that.”
The mayor note the timing of the hotel opening coincides with the 250th anniversary celebration of the country in 2026.
“Bensalem in particular continues to be a very business-friendly environment,” Hausler said. “We have a great relationship with the city and we have had great experience here getting permits and timely responses.”
The hotel project continues Parx’s expansion strategy. The company opened its Xcite Center and sportsbook before the pandemic and launched the Shippensburg Casino in 2023.
“Parx continues to invest millions into this region and in part to expand our entertainment destination and expand our demographic reach,” Hausler explained.
The hotel positions Parx Casino as a comprehensive entertainment destination offering gaming, live racing, sports betting, restaurants, and now overnight accommodations.
Parx Casino features more than 180,000 square feet of gaming space with slot machines, table games, poker, and a sportsbook.
Hausler said he expects the hotel bar to become a popular destination for both guests and locals who may not want to visit the casino floor.
“I think this is going to be one of the hottest bars in town,” he said.
Dixon and other Parx leadership were personally overseeing details down to plumbing fixtures at the hotel to make sure the project was done correctly.
“The opening of Parxview Hotel is exciting news for Bucks County’s tourism and hospitality industry,” said Paul Bencivengo, president and CEO of Visit Bucks County. “It adds a new luxury property to the region, attracting visitors to stay in Bucks County and helping to support local jobs. With this hotel, Parx continues to grow as a top entertainment destination for guests from Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, and beyond.”
