Donna Jamison Cave has been named CEO of Peddler’s Village.
She is stepping into the role following the departure of former CEO Bob McGowan, the board of directors announced.
Cave, who has served as chair of the board for the past decade, is the daughter of Earl and Sheila Jamison, who founded the popular Bucks County real estate and hospitality business in 1962.
Cave will oversee long-term planning for the 42-acre property and manage overall operations and resources, which include more than 350 employees.
The still-family-owned property in Buckingham and Solebury townships welcomes more than two million visitors annually.
The board statement noted the value of having a member of the founding family lead the business.
“There is no one more familiar with the Peddler’s Village ethos, history, and objectives than Donna Jamison Cave,” the statement said. “Donna will steer Peddler’s Village in promising and inspiring ways, continuing to elevate retail and hospitality experiences for guests while also remaining attentive to the many valued employees and the property itself.”
Cave expressed enthusiasm for the new role.
“I am thrilled and honored to be the CEO of the business that my parents created,” Cave said. “And there’s never been a more exciting time to assume this leadership role. Peddler’s Village is thriving.”
Cave noted that Peddler’s Village has been named the number two shopping center in the nation and is welcoming more visitors than ever before. She added that the site is “looking forward to continued success this holiday season and for years beyond.”
As the daughter of the founders, Cave brings lifelong familiarity with Peddler’s Village’s operations. She began working at Peddler’s Village as a teenager and learned various aspects of the business, and returned after college.
Cave served as COO for nearly a decade before focusing on raising her two children.
Cave has been a trustee of Peddler’s Village since 2003 and served as board chair for the past 10 years.
In 2023, Cave and her husband, Jeff, purchased and renovated her childhood home, a historic property behind Peddler’s Village now known as The Inn at Fox Briar Farm.
Two years ago, she opened the property as an eight-room bed and breakfast, which has become a popular wedding and event venue in Bucks County.
