The Bucks County Planning Commission is asking residents to participate in a survey to help update the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The survey will gather feedback to help identify local risks and develop strategies to reduce the impact of natural and human-made hazards, including floods, wildfires, and severe storms.

The Bucks County 2026 Hazard Mitigation Plan update is designed to minimize suffering, loss of life and property damage from hazardous conditions.

According to a statement from the county, emergency management officials, elected officials, and other stakeholders “support proactive efforts needed to reduce the impact of natural and human-caused hazards.”

The anonymous survey takes only a few minutes to complete and can be found at connects.buckscounty.gov/bucks-county-2026-hazard-mitigation-plan. The deadline to complete the survey is Oct. 3, 2025.

Residents with questions can contact Deanna Miller at dmmiller@buckscounty.org or Matthew Walters at mmwalters@buckscounty.org.
