New Hope Borough is once again home to two brewery taprooms.

Human Robot’s Doubles taproom at 12 West Mechanic Street opened to customers at the end of July and has been serving up beer since.

The opening marks the return of a second brewery to the borough, which had been without one since a fire last year. Triumph Brewing has a longtime taproom and restaurant in the borough.

The 900-square-foot space, which was completely renovated, features a sports trading card theme.

Bartenders offer up beer from Human Robot, which also has two locations in Philadelphia and another in Montgomery County.

According to PhillyBurbs.com, Doubles is a partnership between Human Robot’s Jake Atkinson and local artist Keith Shore, whose artwork and sketches are on display.

“I just remember being a collector in the mid-90s. Being a 10 year old, I couldn’t afford that much, so now it’s fun to go back and buy the cards I couldn’t before,” said Atkinson.

Outside, customers can sit along the Aquetong Creek and enjoy views of the Bucks County Playhouse and Main Street.

Human Robot is owned by Atikinson, Ken Correll, Chris Roller, and head brewer Andrew Foss, PhillyBurbs.com reported.

The new taproom’s location previously housed the Great Barn Brewery, which did not reopen after a small fire in October 2024.

Human Robot is popular in the Philadelphia-area beer scene and opened its flagship brewery in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia in 2020.
