Solebury Township has agreed to purchase a conservation easement on a 13-acre property.

Earlier this month, the Solebury Township Board of Supervisors voted to buy the conservation easement for the 12.98-acre Dietterich property at 6750 Phillips Mill Road. The property is made up of two parcels.

Supervisor Kevin Morrissey said several farms in that area were already preserved and the Dietterich property will expand that.

“The preservation of this farm is an effort to maintain the heritage of that particular area,” Morrissey said. This property provides a very nice synergy.”

The supervisors also voted to begin the process to accept a 30.6-acre property on Paxson Road into the land preservation program.
