The Bucks County Department of Corrections said on Wednesday that Robert Peterson, 84, of Quakertown, was pronounced dead on Saturday, January 20, at Doylestown Hospital.

The death of the inmate was “believed to be of natural causes and is not under investigation by the DOC at this time,” a statement said.

The Bucks County Coroner’s Office said they were not investigating the death.

The 84-year-old man was in prison serving time for a child pornography case from 2022. The case was investigated by Pennsylvania State Police.
