Fisherman’s Mark has secured a $10,000 donation from Veolia Water.

The money is aimed at aiding struggling families in covering their water and wastewater bills.

“The funding from Veolia will help guide struggling families with assistance with their water and wastewater bills through its non-profit program, Veolia Cares and federally-funded Low Income Household Water Assistance Program,” said Jennifer Williford, Executive Director of Fisherman’s Mark.

Low Income Household Water Assistance Program offers relief to low-income households burdened with overdue water and wastewater bills and is managed by individual states.

Williford expressed her gratitude, stating, “With this generous support, coupled with our compassionate social program service team, our local community will be able to better engage in and make proper application for temporary, essential water financial assistance.”

She encourages local residents to get in touch with Fisherman’s Mark for further details or to schedule an appointment with a social worker to explore the available programs.
