Last month, New Hope Borough’s Lenape Park on West Ferry Street reopened after renovations.

“Just like any house or public space, it needed a little more TLC to refurbish it to its original beauty,” Beth Hasher, chairperson of New Hope Borough Park and Recreation Board, said during a June ceremony.

The park was established by the borough in 2008.

Over the years, the park has provided a spot for relaxing and even small weddings.

In other parks news, according to Councilwoman Lousie Feder, a bench dedicated to retired public works director Tom Carroll was installed at Green Roof Park at borough hall.

Carroll worked for the borough since 1993, and he led the public works department since 1996. Carroll retired last fall and was replaced by Matt Decker.
