Comcast crews began working in the morning and anticipates completing the work by the end of the day.
The company will be working on equipment upgrades near the Giant Shopping Center.
The scheduled work has the potential to result in temporary outages for Comcast Business services, including internet and voice.
During the outages, Comcast Business Voice customers will be unable to make emergency calls to 911.
To ensure residents have access to emergency services, an alternate number, 215-328-8511, has been provided. In the event that calling 911 does not work, individuals are urged to use the alternate number.
