Bucks County Hosting First Of Several Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events

Bucks County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program returns this weekend with its first collection event of 2023.

Bucks County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program returns this weekend with its first collection event of 2023.

The collection runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Newtown Township Campus of Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown Township. This free event will be held rain or shine.

People coming to the event can bring up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds of hazardous products, including pesticides, flammables and batteries. Electronics, latex paint and appliances are among the items that will not be accepted.

Household Hazardous Waste Collections in Bucks are sponsored by the Bucks County Commissioners and the Bucks County Planning Commission. Additional events are planned through early November. All collection events run from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

• May 13 – Upper Bucks Area Vocational Technical School, 3115 Ridge Road, Bedminster Township
• June 24 – Central Bucks South High School, 1100 Folly Road, Warrington Township
• Aug. 12 – Bucks Technical School, 610 Wistar Road, Bristol Township
• Oct. 28 – Strayer Middle School, 1200 Ronald Reagan Drive, Richland Township

Thanks to a multi-county partnership, collection events in Bucks – and similar events throughout the region – are open to residents of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. Click here for a regional list of collections.
