New Hope Borough Police said Monday that they are seeking information from the public on two commercial burglaries that occurred during the last several days.

The first burglary took place on the 100 block of South Main Street when an unidentified culprit broke into an establishment through an unsecured window. Several items were thrown onto the floor, police say, but nothing was taken.

The burglary occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. There were no witnesses or surveillance video in this burglary, according to police.

The second burglary occurred on North Main Street near West Bridge Street on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1:45 a.m. The actor gained access to the business by removing a window air conditioner unit, and removed approximately $2,000 from the cash drawer, police said.

The perpetrator was caught on surveillance video, and appeared to be a white male, approximately six feet tall, with a thin build, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants, light-colored sneakers, black jacket, black mask, and black gloves.

He left through the window, then ran south on North Main Street and continued running west on West Bridge Street.

New Hope Police ask anyone who has information about the identity of the offenders to submit an anonymous tip or call them at (215) 862-3033 or (215) 348-7400.
