Sponsors of the 25th New Hope Historical Society Garden Tour recently gathered on the lawn of the Parry Mansion Museum to unfurl a banner announcing the Sept. 14 event.

The one-day, self-guided tour is themed “Remembrance of Garden Tours Past,” and spotlights six premier Bucks County gardens featured during past tours. The gardens were selected because they have evolved significantly by creating additional rooms, planting new specimens, adding garden elements such as fountains, sculptures, and fanciful fencing, or by creating winding rhododendron paths.

The gardens are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Amateurs and professional photographers are invited to enter the garden tour photo contest. Photos must be taken the day of tour, and prizes will be awarded to the three best photos, which will appear on the Society’s website.

Tickets to the tour are $35, available online or by calling (215) 862-5652, and include a full-color brochure with pictures, a description of each garden, and a map.

Tickets are also available at Angel’s Cards & Gifts, Bountiful Acres, Carousel Gardens, ELA Outdoor Living, Farley’s Bookshop, Four Seasons Car Wash, Living Earth, Michelle’s Hallmark Shop, None Such Farm Market, Seasons Garden Center, and Walker’s Wine & Spirits.
