Fire on South Main Street in New Hope quickly extinquished Thursday afternoon

Firefighters from New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company responded to a call at 90 S. Main St. in New Hope at at 1:51 p.m. Thursday, where they quickly hosed down a small fire at the rear wall of the building.

They were joined by the Lambertville Fire Department, Midway Volunteer Fire Company, Upper Makefield Fire Company, and Central Bucks EMS.

After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters probed adjacent walls for signs of additional trouble. The cause of the fire was not immediately apparent. There were no injuries at the scene.

Construction work was active earlier at the building, which has been undergoing renovation for the opening of the Green House, a new bar/restaurant.
